ANPR Camera Systems for Plantations and Industrial Sites
A practical guide to lanes, plate visibility, lighting, event workflows, edge processing and system integration for ANPR.
ANPR performance begins with capturing a readable plate at the right angle and exposure. The recognition model cannot recover detail that the camera never captured.
Control the capture geometry
Lane width, vehicle speed, camera distance, mounting height and plate angle determine pixel density and blur. Night performance needs deliberate illumination and exposure settings rather than relying on a general surveillance view.
Process events, not endless video
A useful system links the plate result to time, lane, direction, confidence, vehicle context and a review image. Edge processing can reduce bandwidth and maintain local operation when the WAN is unavailable.
Connect recognition to the workflow
Search, watchlists, notifications, access-control decisions and reports need ownership and response rules. Privacy, retention and user permissions should be designed before data is collected at scale.
