Turning tank measurements into operational information
Baztech’s integration experience includes Milesight UG67 outdoor LoRaWAN gateways and EM410-RDL radar level sensors for lubricant-oil tank monitoring. The described application involved tanks approximately four to nine metres high, with measurements reported hourly. ChirpStack handled the LoRaWAN network, while a web application presented information and supported web and email alerts.
Our team compared sensor readings against a reference measurement during the work. This page does not publish the comparison results or claim that a sensor will match every industrial measurement instrument. Suitability depends on the tank, liquid, mounting conditions and required measurement behaviour.
Matching reporting to the application
Hourly reporting can serve periodic monitoring requirements, but it should not be treated as a specification for rapid process control. For a new project, define the measurement range, tank geometry, liquid, reporting interval and what action should follow an alert.
Milesight weather-station enquiries can also be assessed within a wider monitoring requirement. The exact station model, required weather parameters and installation conditions should be identified before the scope is agreed.
Questions about this integration
Is this a PLC replacement?
The example concerns remote tank monitoring. Whether a control function is suitable requires a separate assessment of timing, interfaces and operation.
Can Baztech connect a LoRaWAN sensor to a custom dashboard?
Yes. Network configuration, data interpretation, dashboards and notification integration can be included in the agreed scope.
