Application development is ongoing. The scope below describes the work currently being improved.
Turning camera observations into production information
Baztech’s computer-vision work uses TensorFlow or Keras for model training and OpenCV to manage camera video during deployment. The application scope includes product counting, cycle-time monitoring and machine-state information such as running, idle and stopped.
The work also explores the time between completion of a CNC machine cycle and the operator’s return to continue the task. This adds a view of waiting time around the process. The application is still being improved. The video frames below illustrate machine-state and operator-presence overlays; they are not a validation of accuracy or a complete OEE result.
Define the event before interpreting the metric
A useful project specification should describe what counts as a product, when a cycle starts and ends, and how each machine state is identified. Camera placement and visibility affect which events the application can observe. These definitions should be agreed with the people who understand the process.
Questions about this integration
Does product counting alone produce OEE?
No. These measurements can support OEE analysis, but a complete calculation also needs agreed availability, performance and quality inputs. This page describes the production-monitoring scope supplied by the team.
Can Baztech assess another production process?
Yes. Share a permitted description of the process, the events to be measured and the reporting objective so an evaluation scope can be defined.
