Industrial Monitoring
What Is an Industrial IoT Dashboard?
The operational features that separate a useful industrial dashboard from a collection of charts.
An industrial dashboard should help a person decide what to do next. That requires trustworthy device state, context, exception handling and ownership—not only attractive visualisations.
Current state and data quality
Show when a reading was received, whether a device is healthy and whether values are stale, estimated or invalid. Operators should not mistake the last known reading for a live condition.
Exceptions before exploration
Alerts need severity, acknowledgement, routing and a clear link to the affected asset. Historical charts are valuable, but the default view should surface abnormalities and devices that need attention.
Access, reporting and integration
Role-based access, scheduled reports, exports and APIs connect the dashboard to real operating routines. Device management, audit history and multi-site structure should be planned before the number of users and assets grows.
