Bringing Bluetooth pressure readings into a dashboard
Baztech contributed to a pressure-monitoring application using a Cassia X2000 Bluetooth gateway and a TE Connectivity 6511N-EX BLE Abs 35B BSP sensor with battery, part number 20026680-40. The selected TE device is a 35-bar absolute-pressure model with Bluetooth output.
The sensor broadcasts its readings over Bluetooth. Our integration work connects the gateway-side information to an MQTT server and presents it on a dashboard built around the customer’s monitoring requirements. The MQTT workflow described here is part of the integration; it should not be read as a statement that every Cassia configuration provides the same native MQTT behaviour.
Define the pressure requirement first
Absolute pressure and gauge pressure are different measurement references. A new enquiry should specify the required pressure type, range, fluid, process connection, installation environment and reporting behaviour. These requirements guide the sensor selection and how the value is presented to users.
Questions about this integration
Can an existing Bluetooth sensor be connected to a dashboard?
Potentially, yes. Baztech first needs the exact sensor model, its Bluetooth data format and the available gateway interface.
Does a gateway alone provide the whole monitoring system?
The device connection is one part. The application also needs data handling and a clear dashboard representation agreed for the use case.
