This board is at schematic-development stage. The described functions are planned and remain subject to implementation and testing.
A custom sensor-node design in development
Baztech is developing the schematic for a custom LoRaWAN node based on the RAKwireless RAK3172 module. The proposed design is intended to connect RS485 sensors and provide a 12V sensor power output, with firmware tailored to the customer’s application.
RAK3172 is based on the STM32WL family. Our planned firmware approach uses the STM32 platform, allowing the application to be defined around the selected sensor and reporting requirement. The design is currently at schematic stage; its proposed interfaces have not yet been presented as a completed, validated Baztech board.
Requirements that shape the board
A useful specification should identify the sensor protocol and register documentation, supply requirement, current demand, sampling interval and LoRaWAN reporting needs. RS485 identifies the electrical interface; the sensor’s actual communications protocol still needs to be confirmed.
These details help determine what the custom electronics and firmware must do before prototype construction and testing.
Questions about this integration
Can this board be purchased now?
It is a development concept at schematic stage. Product availability will depend on the development and validation process.
Can the firmware be tailored to a particular sensor?
Application-specific firmware is part of the intended design scope. Share the sensor documentation and required behaviour for assessment.
