Remote visibility for a court-lighting installation
Baztech contributed connectivity and monitoring work to a smart court-lighting deployment using one Teltonika RUT901 gateway. A server tracks gateway status using an MQTT heartbeat sent every second. This provides a connection-status signal for the application; it is not, by itself, a measurement of whether a court light is physically on.
The RUT901’s dual-SIM capability provides a configuration option for mobile connectivity resilience. This page does not claim a measured failover result or publish an availability percentage. Remote access and Teltonika RMS are part of the team’s support experience for equipment at distant sites.
Keep local operation in the scope
The installation includes a manual bypass switch that can operate the court-lighting contactor independently of the online control path. An IRIV-based local scheduling component is discussed on its own integration page; both pages describe the same court project.
For an enquiry, share the number of courts, lighting schedule, control arrangements and available mobile coverage.
Questions about this integration
What does the heartbeat show?
It indicates that the reporting process can reach the server at that time. The operational meaning of missing messages should be defined in the monitoring application.
Can staff operate the lights if online control is unavailable?
The described installation includes a local manual bypass. A new site’s switching and operating requirements should be specified during design.
